Callie Grijalva is a sophomore at Ripon High School, graduating with the class of 2026. This is her second year in Ripon High's leadership program as she holds the position of spirit commissioner for the 2023-24 school year. Callie Grijalva is a part of Ripon High's volleyball and softball teams. She has been playing softball for 9 years, yet just recently stopped playing travel softball to play club volleyball as she is starting her new journey in volleyball. She just recently tried out for Rage Volleyball Club and will start playing with one of their club teams once the high school season is over. Callie is a very hard worker especially when it comes to sports. She will try her hardest to get to the next level and won't settle for anything other than perfection. Callie has accomplished many things athletically and academically, and hopes to accomplish many other things not only at her school, but in her personal life as well. Her biggest accomplishment as of right now would be, being nominated as captain of Ripon's JV volleyball team. She is very proud of herself and will do her best at leading the team this year. Aside from sports, Callie is also a part of Ripon's FFA program where she shows lambs. She has been showing lambs for 6 years now and will continue to do so throughout her last few years of high school. Last year she placed 1st in her market class and 2nd in her showmanship class. She has goals set for next year to place better and hopefully earn a belt buckle. Outside of school, Callie enjoys hanging out with friends, baking, camping, and watching movies. Her friends and family are very important to her and will always make time for them despite her busy schedule, and though Callie likes to have fun she takes her education very seriously and has many goals set for herself in the future. Callie would like to finish off each semester with a 3.8 gpa or higher and carry forth good time management skills that will help her in her future. Although she has a very busy schedule she puts forth her best effort to be successful in anything she is involved in and will always strive to be the best possible version of herself.
